Nov 19, 2017 SD memory Card Reader/ Slot is not working on Windows 10 I have installed the new windows 10 in my PC, before this i had windows 7 home premium. I have a memory card adapter in which i used to slid my micro SD card and was able to access it when i had windows 7, but when i upgraded to windows 10 and inserted the memory card reader in the slot. That being said, it’s rare but possible that RAM might not be compatible with a motherboard, even if it’s the right type. RAM speed should dynamically shift down if it’s faster than the slot itself can handle, and timings shouldn’t have an impact on the compatibility at all. Oct 21, 2015 RAM in slot 1 only = boot RAM in slot 2 only = boot RAM in slot 3 only = turned on and off repeatedly. If the above manipulations did not help, try setting the memory to DDR3-1333 or lower and set the timings and voltage according to its SPD spec. Jul 19, 2010 When buying additional memory DIMMs for ThinkPad W510 systems, Lenovo recommends that you populate the memory DIMM slots in the following order to take advantage of the best system performance. This memory DIMM slot order is optimized for dual channel memory configurations. For ThinkPad W510 systems.

Hi and thank you.
I builded 1 year my own PC, Specs:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K ~4.0Ghz
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600Mhz
PSU: Thermaltake SMART M Series SP-850M 850W
MOBO: MSI Z97 PC MATE
WC: CORSAIR H80i
Since 6 months ago i was having a trouble: Sometimes when i was turning it on, it turned on and off repeatedly, the solution was: Remove the CMOS battery. 1 week ago a decide to clean it up, then i put everything back, and when i turned on, i got the problem, but this time removing the CMOS battery didn't work, i bought 12GB ram (1x8gb, 1x4GB Crucial Ballistix Sport @1600ghz), and helped me to understand what going on: Channel B (3 and 4 slots, counting from left to right) wasn't working right.
RAM in slot 1 only = boot
RAM in slot 2 only = boot
RAM in slot 3 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 1&2 only = boot
RAM in slot 1&3 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 1&4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 2&3 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 2&4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 3&4 only = turned on and off repeatedly
RAM in slot 1,2,3, and 4 = Boot (No display, keyboard and mouse were not lighting)
I tried:
Update to latest BIOS version
Clean slots with Contact cleaner (DeoxIT D5)
I don't know how to check voltage, etc.
Thank you so much

Memory Slot Not Reading Ram Free
I have problem now. First install in the mobo, the bios reads 16GB exactly. For today, bios is not reading the right memory capacity because now it's only 8GB. In GPU.DMM Post section, I can see the four sticks.
I got random bsod last night so I clear cmos. And remove the 3 rams to post back to bios. After that the bios reading of the ram it's not right.
For now I'm running xmp profile - 1600mhz but 2x4GB only (test for BSOD). No OC on CPU part. I test two combination A1&B1 / A2&B2 and also single ram in A2 slot. They are running/boot to win7 and no BSOD.
Memtest 4 pass no errors four sticks.
Bad ram? bad mobo? bad cpu? bad psu?
I have no extra rams for mobo ram slot test.
My current PC specs:
- Maximus V Gene (Bios v1802)
- i5 3570k
- Crucial Ballistix Elite 4x4GB 1600mhz c8 v1.5 (BLE463D1608DE1TX0.16FMR XMP)
- Corsair H80i
- CM Silent Pro M 600
- Crucial M4 128GB
- EVGA GTX 560 DS SSC
